Collioure is a beautiful seaside town that inspired the likes of Matisse, Dali, Dufy, Picasso and many more. The town houses more than 40 art galleries and one very nice Museum of Art.
The lights and scenic beauty of this village inspired major works by Matisse and Derain which is why the town of Colliour is said to have been the birthplace of Fauvism.
One fun thing they have for everyone, are the frames up around the city that allow you to look through and see what Matisse and all the others saw and inspired them to immortalize this beautiful town!!
